WPL 2023: Making its way into the WPL 2023 is a young franchise named UP Warriorz, owned by Capri Holdings Private Limited. The owners paid Rs 757 crore for the Lucknow franchise. At the WPL 2023 Auction, the owners made the minimum number of buys in terms of players—16 to be exact—and spent their entire budget of Rs 12 crore. UP made some excellent buys and focused on both Indian and overseas players.

Coaching Staff:
Former England cricketer Jon Lewis has been named head coach of the franchise. Arjuna Awardee and former Indian cricketer Anju Jain to serve as the assistant coach. Ashley Noffke, a former Australian cricketer, is the bowling coach for UP Warriorz. The franchise will be mentored by Lisa Sthalekar, a four-time World Champion from Australia.
