Narendra Modi Stadium

The Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, situated in the Sardar Vallabhbhai Sports Complex in Ahmedabad, is the largest cricket stadium in the world. The stadium has a record seating capacity of 132,000 spectators. The stadium is owned by the Gujarat Cricket Association. The venue hosts men’s national cricket team Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.The stadium is also the home venue for IPL franchise Gujarat Titans, led by all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

In 2015, the stadium was completely demolished and went under reconstruction. The stadium was rebuilt in February 2020 at an estimated cost of Rs 800 crore. Other than cricket, the stadium hosts programmes arranged by the government of Gujarat.

As of 2022, the stadium has hosted 14 Tests, 27 ODIs, and six T20Is featuring the men’s national cricket team. The next test is scheduled for March 9, 2023, between India and Australia.
