Kennington Oval, London

Kennington Oval, also known as the Oval cricket ground among fans, is located in the London borough of Lambeth. The stadium was established in 1845 and currently has a seating capacity of 23,500. Surrey County Cricket Club plays its home matches at this very venue. The ground also holds historical importance since it was the first ground in England to host international Test cricket, which took place in September 1880. The ground has also hosted the final of the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy between India and Pakistan. Besides cricket, Kennington Oval has also hosted other sporting events in the past. The stadium played host to rugby’s first varsity match as well as England’s first international football match.
