WPL 2023: An injury to Australian legend Beth Mooney has forced Gujarat Giants to change captaincy plans in WPL 2023. Sneh Rana is the stand-in-captain for Gujarat in the WPL 2023. After making a successful foray into men’s T20 cricket with the Gujarat Giants winning the IPL 2022 crown, the Gautam Adani-owned Adani Sportsline Private Limited has ventured into the women’s T20 league. They are the proud owners of the Gujarat Giants, which they bought for a whopping Rs 1289 crore. At the auction, the Gujarat Giants focused on a lot of overseas stars to build a strong core, with former Indian skipper Mithali Raj as the team mentor.

Legendary Australian women’s cricketer Rachael Haynes has been appointed as the head coach of the side. Tushar Arothe has been entrusted with the responsibility of batting coach, while former Indian off-spinner Nooshin Al Khadeer serves as the bowling coach for the Giants.
