Border-Gavaskar Trophy Records – India vs Australia TEST Series: The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is a bilateral Test cricket series played between India and Australia. The series is played every two years, as per the International Cricket Council’s Future Tours Program.

Since the inception of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 1996, India and Australia have locked horns 52 times. India has managed to win 22 matches, while Australia has scored victories 19 times. A total of 11 Tests have ended in a draw.

As of March 2023, India is the current holder of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India defeated Australia 2-1 in the last Test series played between the two countries in 2023 in India.

The trophy has been in existence since 1996, and a total of 16 series have been played since then. India has emerged victorious on ten occasions, while Australia has managed to win four times, while one series has resulted in a draw.

India has been holding the Border-Gavaskar Trophy since 2016–17.
