The Journey
Rajeshwari Gayakwad’s introduction to cricket happened at the age of 18, and that too because of her father who remained as her first coach. In 2014, she donned the India Blues and never looked back from there on. Over the course of the last nine years, Rajeshwari became an integral member of the Indian women’s cricket team in white ball format. A wicket-to-wicket bowler, who can also take the ball away from the right handers, Rajeshwari’s common mode of dismissals are either bowled or LBWs. She has over 150 wickets against her name, and has played crucial roles in winning India games on a consistent basis.
