About Venkatesh Iyer
Venkatesh Iyer was born on 25 December 1994 in Indore city of Madhya Pradesh, his full name is Venkatesh Rajasekaran Iyer. Iyer came into the media limelight when he scored back-to-back half-centuries in the first season of his IPL for his team KKR. And after that, seeing his good performances in IPL, he got selected for India international cricket.
Career
Domestic career
Venkatesh Iyer made first-class cricket debut against the Hyderabad team on 6 December 2018 at Indore Stadium. Since then, he has become an integral part of the Madhya Pradesh squad in the domestic arena.
International career
After Seeing his good performance in his first IPL season, Venkatesh Iyer was included in the Indian side in the same year 2021, and he played his first international debut match on 17 November 2021. Despite performing decently with both bat and the ball, Iyer played his last match for India back in 2022.
IPL career
Venkatesh Iyer made his IPL debut back in 2021 as he was included in the Kolkata Knight Riders team for his base price. He made his IPL debut match on 23 September 2021 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Despite failing in IPL 2022, KKR backed Iyer as he became the second batter to score a century for KKR in IPL history in the previous edition.
