Tathvamasi Studios has introduced its first PlayStation 5 title, Suri: The Seventh Note, through the PlayStation India Hero Project. This distinctive rhythm action platformer draws inspiration from beloved classics such as Hollow Knight, Rayman Legends, 140, and Celeste, blending rhythm-based gameplay with evocative Indian mythology and visuals.
Suri: The Seventh Note: First Look
Set in the enchanted land of Ragamandala, the story centers on Ajeera, who sets out to restore harmony by finding a legendary “seventh note.” The player’s journey is deeply personal, motivated by the need to save Ajeera’s mother from a mysterious illness, which leads her to explore vivid biomes reflecting India’s diverse landscapes and architecture.
Suri stands out with gameplay mechanics that coordinate environmental movement, traps, and escape sequences to an ever-present musical rhythm. Players unlock new abilities that shape how they traverse intricate levels, while the game’s world shifts in response to the beat. The visuals pay homage to Indian art traditions, including elements from Rajasthani, Rajput, and Sikh designs, all crafted in a bold pen-and-ink style.

Suri: The Seventh Note is currently in development for PS5, with both funding and technical mentorship provided to Tathvamasi by Sony’s PlayStation India Hero Project.
