After a period of dedicated development informed by extensive Closed Alpha feedback, the highly anticipated game Destiny: Rising is set to launch its Closed Beta with a host of significant changes aimed at enhancing the player experience. The developers, through their “Growing Together” update, have unveiled substantial modifications to progression, weapon systems, endgame content, and even their monetization mechanics, all directly stemming from player input.
Destiny: Rising Closed Beta
One of the most notable overhauls comes in Character Progression. Moving away from individual character leveling, Destiny: Rising will now feature a Brand New Team Level System. This innovative approach unifies power progression under a single “Team Level” driven by story and exploration, ensuring that all characters instantly match this level. This change addresses player feedback regarding repetitive leveling and aims to foster free experimentation with diverse character builds. New Team Level Rewards will also be implemented to acknowledge player progress.

The Weapon Attachment system has been completely re-evaluated and replaced with a dynamic Weapon Mod system. Players will now discover mod blueprints through various in-game activities and craft them into powerful enhancements that dramatically alter combat. These mods promise more impactful effects and can be freely transferred between weapons of the same name, eliminating the need to re-grind for mods when acquiring a higher-power version of a weapon. The developers also teased additional progression improvements, including a streamlined seasonal artifact system.
For those seeking the ultimate challenge, Destiny: Rising is introducing a new pinnacle tier for GP Strikes: “Master” Level Difficulty. This demanding new tier is designed to test precision, teamwork, and adaptability, offering brand new rewards and a dedicated vendor to create a complete endgame experience.
The upcoming Closed Beta also brings improvements to the Battle Pass, offering better value with more items, including a free Seasonal Exotic Weapon at Tier 50, Ascension Cells, Legendary Weapon Mods, and Relic upgrade materials.
Perhaps the most significant changes on the monetization front come to the Draw System. For the Standard Character Pool, the first 50 draws will be discounted by 20%, and players are guaranteed one Mythic Tier character within the first 30 draws. Furthermore, after 180 cumulative draws, players can select one Mythic character for free from the standard pool. For both Standard and Limited Pools, a guaranteed Mythic Tier character is ensured within 60 draws. Additionally, every character draw will now reward Draw Fragments, which can be exchanged for skill tree enhancements to upgrade Mythic-tier characters.
The developers emphasize that these updates are not mere fixes, but a testament to their philosophy of building the game in collaboration with their community. The Closed Beta marks another crucial milestone in this shared journey, with more information, including details on the Rebate & Reward program for participants, expected to be shared starting tomorrow. Lightbearers are encouraged to read the rules carefully, as they directly affect rewards delivered at launch.
