As per an Indian Express report, the Eden Gardens will receive a huge facelift with a modernised club house facility at the ground. The design was approved by CAB’s apex body, and the tenders for the same have already been out.
The work on the lower tier seats have already began, while canopies are also being erected on some of tue stands in the gallery. The entire renovation is expected to be over by the end of this year, with much of it focused for the 2023 World Cup in India.
“Eden Gardens is considered as one of the best cricket facilities in the world. To keep up its international standard we have decided to do a face lift of the interior of Club House, the players’ dressing rooms and the media centre in the first phase,” CAB president Avishek Dalmiya said.

“The tenders are already out. The designs have been approved by the Apex Council. Before the end of the year, we hope to see a far more swanky and modern Club House,” he added.
Eden Gardens has been the home to some of India’s most enthralling wins in history, ans was recently used to stage the IPL 2022 playoffs. India also played their T20 series against the West Indies here earlier this year.
