The Bangladesh Cricket Board has confirmed the rescheduled dates for the ODI and T20I series against India and it is set to take place in September 2026. The tour was initially scheduled to take place in August 2025 but was deferred by a period of 12 months, owing to tensions between the two nations. The three-match ODI and T20I series will now commence from September 1 onwards and will last till September 13.
Dates for India’s postponed tour to Bangladesh revealed
As per Cricbuzz, BCB’s cricket operation in-charge Shahriar Nafees confirmed that the series against India had been rescheduled. The ODIs will be held on September 1, 3 and 6 while the T20Is will take place between September 9-13. The Indian team is scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh by August 28, as per the report.
“The series that was postponed earlier between Bangladesh and India has been rescheduled,” Shahriar Nafees said.
Apart from the series against India, the dates for Bangladesh’s upcoming series in 2026 have also been revealed. Pakistan will first tour Bangladesh after the T20 World Cup in march April where they will play 2 Tests and 3 ODIs 7 T20Is each. New Zealand will then tour the nation for 3 ODIs and T20Is in April followed by Australia. The next home series for BAN will be against WI where they take on the visitors in two Tests in September.
“The confirmed itinerary ensures a season full of international cricket in Bangladesh, providing supporters across the country the opportunity to watch top-level cricket at home while details of match venues will be announced in due course,” BCB said in a statement.
