Although India were the hosts for this year’s edition, the tourney will be co-hosted by Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Asia Cup’s first edition took place way back in 1984, and has been played in both the ODI and T20I format in the past. This year’s edition of the tournament will be played in the shortest format, with India set to take on UAE in their first game on September 10.
