Neetu David on Tuesday announced the squad for the upcoming Women’s World Cup after a slight delay. As expected, Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana were the captain and the vice-captain duo. No place for Shafali Verma

On the bowling front, Titas Sadhu was not picked in the Women’s World Cup team. A host of youngsters were picked too — Kranti Gaud, Amanjot Kaur, Sree Charani. On the experience front, Sneh Rana was entrusted as the one of the main spinners along with Deepti Sharma, while Yastika Bhatia is back too, as the second keeper. Richa Ghosh, of course is the main keeper.

Not just that, the team for the Australia tour was also announced. The only difference between the two squads was — Sayali Satghare was picked for the Australia ODIs, while she missed out on the WC berth.
