India thrash Pakistan, claim convincing 7-wicket victory in Women’s Asia Cup opener
India now have a 12-3 overall T20I record against Pakistan and a 6-1 record in the Women's Asia Cup (T20Is).

What a victory! Harmanpreet Kaur’s India women’s cricket team have registered a 7-wicket victory over Nida Dar’s Pakistan in Dambulla. Playing their Women’s Asia Cup 2024 opener, the Women in Blue, outdid their arch-rivals in all three departments. Deepti Sharma was handed the ‘Player of the Match’ award for her 3-fer, while Renuka Singh, Pooja Vastrakar, and Shreyanka Patil also got 2-fers, while Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana scored stylish 40s.
