Bad news for Mumbai Indians, no Bumrah?

Jasprit Bumrah will likely miss the first two weeks of IPL 2025, dealing a massive blow to the Mumbai Indians. The veteran pacer is recovering from a back injury and won’t join the MI camp until April. Bumrah, who’s currently undergoing rehab, hasn’t started bowling in full tilt yet. The medical team will gradually increase his workload before clearing him to play. This means Bumrah will miss at least three of MI’s initial games, including their first home game against KKR. Virat Kohli injured before final?

Virat Kohli suffered a scare during India’s practice session before the ICC Champions Trophy Final against New Zealand. He was hit on the leg by a pacer and experienced pain, forcing him to stop his practice. However, the Indian coaching staff claims that Kohli’s injury isn’t severe and he should be fit for the final. Rohit Sharma to retire in Dubai?

Rohit Sharma may retire from ODI cricket after the ICC Champions Trophy, regardless of the outcome. The Indian captain, who has already retired from T20Is, will reportedly discuss his future with selectors after the tournament. With only 9 ODIs remaining in 2025, it may be the perfect time for Rohit to hang up his boots, especially if he wins the Champions Trophy.
