Border-Gavaskar Trophy – Best bowling figures in an innings: The record for the best bowling figures in the Border Gavaskar Trophy goes to Australian spinner Nathan Lyon. The off-spinner takes the top two spots with eight wickets hauls against India in Bengaluru and Indore in March 2017 and March 2023. There’s another off-spinner at the third spot in the form of Harbhajan Singh. During the famous 2001 series, Bhajji registered 8/84 against Australia in Chennai in March 2001. Bhajji’s mentor, Anil Kumble, is at the fourth spot and has also bagged an 8-fer against Australia in Sydney in January 2004.
