LSG vs RCB, IPL 2026: The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have claimed a victory in a last-over thriller against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in a high-scoring, rain-affected game in Lucknow. It’s just the third victory for LSG in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season, and they have picked up form, winning two of their last three games. Unfortunately, they remain at the bottom of the IPL 2026 Points Table.
Marsh tons up, Pant’s final flourish
Perhaps for the first time in IPL 2026, LSG’s entire batting clicked. Arshin Kulkarni had a stinker of a game, 17 off 24, but the other players of the top four were on fire. Mitchell Marsh smashed the fastest-ever hundred for LSG, in 49 balls. Nicholas Pooran continues his good form, scoring 38 off 23. Rishabh Pant played his best knock of IPL 2026, scoring 32 off 10. His innings were the difference-maker in the end. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was bang on the money in his 200th IPL match, and no one could get after Krunal Pandya, but the other RCB bowlers struggled.
RCB always behind the chase
The target was adjusted to 213 from 210 using the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern (DLS) method. The total was gettable, but RCB were never ahead of the game. Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav send Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli back in the first 2 overs. The ball continued to play tricks, and the pitch displayed inconsistent bounce at times. Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar stabilised until the powerplay, and Patidar went boom afterwards. However, Padikkal couldn’t capitalise. After his dismissal in the 11th over, RCB lost their way, and despite Tim David’s best efforts, they fell 9 runs short.
