Tokyo Game Show 2026: Dates, Location, and Theme
Tokyo Game Show 2026 will take place from September 17 to September 21, 2026. In honor of its anniversary, the TGS has become five entire days long and will carry out the official theme of “The Longest Five Days of Nonstop Play”.
The convention will once again be hosted at the massive Makuhari Messe exhibition center in Chiba, Japan, spanning across eleven exhibition halls.
The five day event has been purposefully divided to facilitate both professional connections and public entertainment:
- Business Days (September 17 – 18): The first two days are only for industry players, media, and developers. Press Conferences, huge game releases, and global collaborations are what this period is all about.
- Public Days (September 19 – 21): The third through the fifth days will be for the general public. There is plenty to explore with thousands of stalls and hands-on demos of unreleased games.
