DC fans have a new fighting game to look forward to as Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developer Drop Fake have officially announced DCKO. The upcoming title is a free-to-play 2v2 fighting game that will launch on iOS and Android in 2027.
The announcement was made through the game’s official social media channels, where players were also invited to pre-register ahead of release.
DCKO Brings 2v2 Tag-Team Battles to Mobile
Different from other console-based fighting games, DCKO is a game that has been created exclusively for mobile phones, with an emphasis on real-time 2v2 combat.
This game features an opportunity for players to create teams of their DC superheroes and supervillains, combining their powers to execute tag team attacks and assistance maneuvers.
Drop Fake is a company behind this game creation. Some developers at Drop Fake have prior experience with developing one of the best-selling mobile games – Marvel Contest of Champions.
Among the best parts of DCKO are the PvP fights that will feature gamers fighting other players rather than computer-controlled teams.
In case you are fond of single-player mode, DCKO will also have PvE Story Mode. Gamers will be fighting against well-known DC antagonists such as Ra’s al Ghul’s League of Assassins, Amazo’s robotic army, and Trigon’s demonic forces.

Warner Bros. has already revealed several playable characters that will be available in DCKO, including:

- Superman
- Wonder Woman
- Robin
- John Constantine
- Harley Quinn
- Nightwing
Players will also be able to customize their fighters by unlocking new abilities, stat upgrades, and alternate costumes inspired by DC comics.

The news has been met with mixed feelings by the gaming community.
Mobile players have enjoyed the comic-styled artwork and rapid gameplay designed by DCKO. Some DC fighting game fans were looking forward to an update for the Injustice series on a console rather than another mobile fighting game.
