Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls open beta starts July 24. Check the schedule, playable characters, stages, game modes, and platforms.

The wait is almost over for fighting game fans as Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls prepares for its final open beta ahead of launch. Developed by Arc System Works and published by Sony, the new 4v4 fighting game will officially release on August 6, 2026.

Before its launch, players will get one last chance to experience the game, test its online servers, and try out a large portion of the launch roster.

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Open Beta Schedule

The open beta will be starting at 8:00 AM BST on Friday, July 24, 2026, and will continue until 7:59 AM BST on Monday, July 27, 2026.

The pre-loading period of the beta starts from 6:00 AM BST on July 24 to give players sufficient time to install the game before the servers start. The beta will be available for free on:

  • PlayStation 5
  • Steam
  • Epic Games Store

Registration is not necessary; however, PlayStation users will have to create a valid PlayStation account.

Playable Characters Details

This beta is an enormous collection of content, comprising 15 out of the total of 20 characters that have been planned for the game launch. The character roster includes:

  • Avengers and other Street-Level Characters: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Ghost Rider, and Blade.
  • X-Men and other Cosmic Beings: Wolverine, Storm, Magik, Danger, Star-Lord, and Peni Parker.
  • Villains: Doctor Doom and Magneto.

The game will provide players the chance to fight in six different environments, namely: Marvel’s New York (Day), Marvel’s New York (Night), Savage Land, X-Mansion, Knowhere, and Wakanda.

Multiplayer as well as some single player modes will be available to the players during the beta stage.

For online gaming, there is an option for Casual Matches, Ranked Matches, and also an Open Lobby which allows social interaction through mini avatars.

Some offline modes that the players can try out include the Versus Mode, against the AI, and Training Mode. The new players may even try out the Start Up Battle.
