Bangladesh to arrive in Chennai four days before IND vs BAN 1st Test

The upcoming two Tests will be crucial for both India and Bangladesh for their positions in WTC (2023-25) table. India will gain extreme advantage if they take series home 2-0.

After a long, long wait, Team India will be in action. It was in the first week of August when they played their last international game against Sri Lanka. However, the Rohit Sharma-led team is in for a long red-ball season ahead, starting with two Tests against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh to arrive in India on Sept 15

Buoyed from their historic maiden 2-0 Test series triumph, Bangladesh would be eager to upset a star-studded Indian team. While they have already started their preparation, with a camp in Mirpur, the Bangla Tigers are scheduled to arrive in India on Sunday, September 15. While their pace sensation Nahid Rana is up for the major challenge, the fact is that Bangladesh have never beaten India in Tests. However, they didn’t beat Pakistan before but now they have embarrassed them 2-0 in their backyard.

Hence, India should not take them lightly and we are sure that Rohit Sharma is mindful of this. Hence, BCCI has opted for a first-choice Indian Test team, cutting short Jasprit Bumrah’s rest as well. This will be the first time India will host Bangladesh after 2019.
