DC vs RCB, IPL 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru humiliated Delhi Capitals to consolidate their spot in the IPL 2026 Points Table. After bowling Delhi out for 75, RCB chased down the target in just 6.3 overs with Devdutt Padikkal (34 off 13) and Virat Kohli (23 off 15) finishing things off. In the first innings, DC were bowled out for 75, the lowest total of the Indian Premier League 2026. Josh Hazlewood (4/12) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/5) were the stars as they reduced Delhi to 8/6 in 3.5 overs. Abhishek Porel waged a lone battle with 30 off 33, but DC failed to salvage the innings, days after scoring 264 at the same venue. Earlier, Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to bowl. Delhi Capitals brought in Kyle Jamieson in place of the injured Lungi Ngidi. Sahil Parakh also made his debut.
Delhi Capitals 75 all out
A team that scored 264 in their last game would be a fearsome batting unit. But the tigers of Delhi Capitals turned out to be cats in the DC vs RCB match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood were unplayable in their first spell, as none of the DC batters looked comfortable on Monday.
Bhuvneshwar rattled DC with his swing, while Hazlewood’s deceptive bounce off the surface had them on their back foot. First, it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who struck in the 2nd ball of the game, cleaning up the 18-year-old debutant with a venomous yorker. In the second over, Josh Hazlewood dismissed KL Rahul in the first ball with a deceptive short ball that hurried on. The Aussie star also removed Sameer Rizvi in the second delivery with a Test match length, forcing him edge it to the slip. Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel in his second over, while Hazlewood stunned Nitish Rana with a short ball to reduce Delhi Capitals to 8/6 in 3.5 overs.
Then, there was a resistance with David Miller and Abhishek Porel, playing out the pwerplay. DC scored 13/6, the lowest score in powerplay in IPL history. The 35-run resistance ended in the 9th over with Rasikh Dar joining the party, removing David Miller. Porel waged a lone battle then on, scoring 30 off 33 but they were bowled out for 75, the lowest total of IPL 2026. DC managed to keep RCB’s record of 49-allout safe.
2nd fastest chase in IPL history
A target of 76 was too easy to chase and RCB made things look easy. Jacob Bethell started the proceedings with attacking intent. But he fell in the 3rd over to Kyle Jamieson with T Natarajan taking an excellent catch. But Devdutt Padikkal was in no mood to play the waiting game. He pounced on Dushmantha Chameera with a 6 and a four, and then he went after Kyle Jamieson with 6, 4, 4 and 6. Kohli finished things off in th the 7th over with two sixes against T Natarajan and brought up his 9000 runs in IPL, the first batter to achieve the feat.
Padikkal remained unbeaten on 34 off 13, Kohli remained not out on 23 off 15. The win helped RCB improve their net run rate to +1.919. DC’s NRR tanked to -1.060.

DC vs RCB Match Preview: Delhi Capitals
27/04/2026 18:33
You don't need to look much further than the last DC game to understand where this side is right now. Delhi posted a mammoth 264 against Punjab Kings, with KL Rahul scoring an unbeaten 152 off 67, a knock that should have won any cricket match anywhere. Still, DC lost by six wickets, with the bowlers comprehensively dismantled in a record chase. They'll also be without Lungi Ngidi, who was subbed out in the third over of that game with a concussion. Three wins from seven, sixth on the table, and a death-overs unit that looks shaky every time it gets pressure.
The one bit of comfort for DC: they've already beaten this RCB once this season. Delhi won the first meeting at the Chinnaswamy by six wickets, making this a "revenge mission" for the defending champions. Doing the double over RCB at home is exactly the kind of result that could rescue Delhi's season. The question is whether the bowling holds up long enough to give them a chance.
Arun Jaitley Stadium Pitch Report
27/04/2026 18:23
The Arun Jaitley Stadium has well and truly become a batter's paradise this season. The last game here was a stark, almost absurd, illustration of just how much.
In the most recent IPL 2026 game at the venue on April 25, an aggregate of 529 runs was scored. DC's 264 was chased down by Punjab Kings without much fuss. That tells you everything. The boundaries are short, the outfield is rapid, and the wicket has flattened out considerably from its older spin-and-grip reputation. Bowlers can still find a touch of lateral movement and turn, but you're talking about 200-plus first-innings totals being the par benchmark, with anything under 210 looking vulnerable on a night like Monday.
For DC, this is both an opportunity and a problem. The opportunity is obvious. KL Rahul has just shown what he can do at this venue. The problem is they've also just shown they can't defend any total here. RCB chasing 220-something on a flat track with dew kicking in is a frightening prospect, and Patidar, Kohli, Salt and Tim David are exactly the kind of batting line-up built to chase down anything.
DC vs RCB Head to Head
27/04/2026 18:13
Royal Challengers Bengaluru hold a slim historical edge in this fixture. Across 33 IPL meetings between Delhi Capitals and RCB, the Bengaluru side has typically had the upper hand, though recent contests have been competitive.
DC's home record at the venue this season has been mixed. They've batted brilliantly here but defended poorly, and the surface hasn't always rewarded their bowling plans. RCB, meanwhile, have only just started their three-game away run, which means there's no recent groundwork to build off either way.
