He has four sisters and one elder brother Dhanset. Despite being from a small village and a poor family, Mukesh worked hard and fulfilled his dream of playing cricket for India. Mukesh Kumar married Divya Singh, a resident of Chapra, Bihar, on 28 November 2023.
