Pokémon GO brings Festival of Lights event to celebrate Diwali

Niantic the publisher of Pokémon GO is set to bring Festival of Lights event to celebrate Diwali with Indian players.

The Festival of Lights is returning to Pokémon GO, and this year’s celebration promises to be extra special! For the first time ever, a regional costumed Pokémon will make its debut, exclusively for Trainers in India. This stylish addition will add a unique touch to the festivities.

Not only will players have the chance to encounter this new regional Pokémon, but you’ll also find that certain Pokémon attracted to Incense will be glowing. It’s the perfect opportunity to shine brightly alongside your Pokémon and celebrate Diwali in style.

The Festival of Lights event will take place from Friday, November 1, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, November 4, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

Pokémon GO Festival of Lights Event Bonuses

  • Catch Pokémon for double Stardust and XP.
  • Team GO Rocket balloons will appear every 2 hours.
  • Encounter Team GO Rocket Grunts more frequently at PokéStops.
  • Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours.

  • Slugma
  • Volbeat
  • Illumise
