The PUBG Mobile World Cup aka PMWC 2026, is set to be one of the biggest international PUBG Mobile tournaments of the year. As part of the Esports World Cup at EWC 2026, the event will now take place in Paris, France, after being relocated from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Here is a detailed breakdown of the updated PMWC 2026 format:
Group Stage (August 6th – 9th, 2026)
- Intially, the 32 participating teams will be divided equally into two groups of 16.
- Each group will play a total of 12 matches.
- The top 5 teams from each group will secure a direct ticket to the Grand Finals.
- Teams finishing 6th through 13th in each group will advance to the Survival Stage. Mean while the bottom 3 teams from each group face immediate elimination from the tournament.
Survival Stage (August 11th – 12th, 2026)
- The 16 teams will compete in 12 intense matches.
- The top 6 teams will earn the remaining slots in the Grand Finals.
- The bottom 10 teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

Grand Finals (August 14th – 16th, 2026)
Grand Finals is scheduled to run from August 14 to August 16.
In total, 16 teams, 10 from Group Stage and six from Survival Stage, will battle out in as many as 18 games. There will be a total of six games per day.
However, what makes this year’s Grand Finals truly special is Smash Rule will be brought back to the last day of the event. The rule states that the teams should get enough points for them to become contenders for a championship with a Chicken Dinner.
Having more teams, a bigger cash prize, and a revised format, the PMWC 2026 event seems set to deliver one of the most competitive PUBG Mobile events ever.
