Australia won the toss and chose to field in the series’ final match. Despite consistent wicket-taking by the Australian bowlers, a half-century from Shreyas Iyer (53 off 37) and valuable contributions from Axar Patel (31 off 21) and Jitesh Sharma (24 off 16) ensured the home team reached a competitive total of 160/8, with Ben Dwarshuis being the standout bowler with figures of 2/30.

Australia’s run chase started well, but India made a comeback by taking wickets at regular intervals. The spinners, led by Axar Patel, played a crucial role in India gaining control.
