WWE Superstars: Top 3 superstars of 2021- Year 2021 is on the verge of its glorious end. The year which started in WWE Thunderdome ended with the WWE Universe enjoying the show live being in attendance.

One of the wistful parts of 2021 was the release of multiple talents, owing to the budget cut policy. However, those who managed to hold their place in the company were fortunate and did work day in day out to achieve glory.

Every year there are a bunch of superstars who emerge as the talking points courtesy of their unbelievable run throughout the year. In this post, we have listed three individuals who had a phenomenal run throughout 2021. So without any further ado, let’s plunge into this list.

WWE Superstars: Roman Reigns (Smackdown)

The reigning Universal Champion Roman Reigns is perhaps the Superstar of the Year, and a lot of credit for Roman’s success must be given to his cousins The Usos, who always had his back. Roman Reigns started this year as the Universal Champion and is closing on with the title wrapped around his waist.

In perhaps the middle of his best WWE runs, Roman Reigns defeated some legendary names, including Brock Lesnar, Edge, John Cena, etc., to glorify his legacy as one of the greatest Universal Champions in WWE history. Talking about his win/loss record in singles competition, Roman Reigns has remained unbeaten throughout the year, with only a solitary no-result match against King Woods.

WWE Superstars: Drew McIntyre (Started on Raw, will end the year on Smackdown)

Since 2020, Drew McIntyre carried WWE on his shoulder during the testing COVID-19 times. In this phase, he held the coveted WWE Championship title twice and went on to become perhaps the biggest babyface of the company today.

Despite losing the WWE Championship title against the Money in the Bank briefcase holder The Miz at Elimination Chamber PPV in February, Drew McIntyre was on the money, with his in-ring charisma, and managed to secure over 30 wins in televised singles competition in 2021. After jumping to Friday Night Smackdown during October’s WWE Draft, Drew continued with his phenomenal show, and we may see him becoming the Universal Champion early in 2022.

WWE Superstars: Karrion Kross (NXT)

Karrion Kross etched his name in the history books as the greatest NXT Champions of all time. He kicked off 2021 by defeating Damian Priest on Jan 6, 2021, at the NXT New Year’s Evil PPV event and stretched his undefeated reign as the NXT Champion until August’s NXT Takeover 36, where he eventually lost the title to Samoa Joe.

Losing the NXT gold was a part of plans as he was moved to Monday Night Raw on a permanent basis and couldn’t have taken the NXT title on the Red brand with him. Although he didn’t have a great start on the main roster losing his first-ever match against Jeff Hardy in a shocking manner, he managed to defeat Keith Lee the following. Just when Kross was getting accustomed to the main-roster and on the verge of getting a major push, the company axed him as a part of their next budget cut lot.
