Brock Lesnar’s return was perhaps the biggest surprise of the year. It’s quite a rare sight that the Beast receives a massive pop from the WWE Universe, but that is what exactly happened on August 21 when the Beast Incarnate returned in the closing moments of Survivor Series at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Lesnar returned spotting a Viking’s look with a beard and a small pony. He made his shocking return after the main event match that saw Roman Reigns defeat John Cena. The Beast went straight into the ring and confronted Roman face to face as the two men had an ultimate staredown. It was shocking to see Lesnar return at that juncture, and the crowd’s reaction present at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas said it all.

WWE News: Nikki A.S.H winning the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match
Nikki A.S.H winning the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match in July was another unexpected and shocking moment of the year. Not only the ladder match win, Nikki successfully cashed in her contract on the following edition of Monday Night Raw on the then Raw Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair to become the Women’s champion for the first time in her career.

WWE News: Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman getting released
WWE’s budget cuts came into existence during the first wave of COVID-19 in April 2020. Since then, more than 150 extremely talented personnel were shown the exit doors by WWE. The budget cut trend continued in 2021 as well and former Universal Champions Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt were among the most shocking names to face the axe from the company, this time around.
The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman was released in June ahead of the Hell in a Cell PPV event. Meanwhile, Bray Wyatt faced the axe a month later in July. No one saw the release of the two former Universal Champions and megastars coming, but unfortunately, this happened.

WWE News: The formation of the unorthodox team of Randy Orton & Riddle, i.e., RK-Bro
After weeks and months of sincere efforts from Riddle, Randy Orton finally agreed to form a tag team with him ahead of the Summerslam PPV event in August. Riddle and Randy Orton formed RK-Bro, an unorthodox team that no one saw coming. Riddle and Randy Orton possess two perfectly opposite demeanors and having them work as a unit was something no one in even their wildest dreams would have ever thought of happening.
RK-Bro not only worked as a unit but also managed to defeat the Raw Tag-Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos at the Summerslam PPV event in August to become the new tag-team champions in only their first attempt. Four months after their Championship triumph, Riddle & Randy Orton still have the Raw Tag-Team Golds in their possession and have remained unbeaten in tag-team competitions.

WWE News: Gable Stevenson inking a deal with WWE
Tokyo Olympics Gold medalist sensation USA’s Gable Stevenson inked a deal with Vince McMahon & Co in September 2021. After the legendary Kurt Angle and current WWE Superstar Chad Gable, Stevenson is only the third Olympian who has switched to pro-wrestling and will be working under WWE.
Stevenson is currently undergoing a training program at the University of Minnesota and is expected to make his highly anticipated in-ring debut at the showcase of immortals, i.e., Wrestlemania 38 in Dallas. He was a part of the WWE Draft held on October 2021 and got drafted to Monday Night Raw.
