Although Sasha Banks and Naomi took a bold step for their stand, WWE didn’t respond pretty well. Instead, they vacated the tag team titles and announced a future tag team tournament. Also, there are many speculations regarding Sasha Banks and Naomi’s WWE contract.
As per the reports, WWE has an option to freeze their contracts for the time being. But WWE didn’t take any action officially yet. Many speculations circulated in the wrestling industry regarding WWE not paying both superstars after their walkout and their contracts not being frozen, either.

However, Ringside News has provided the latest update regarding the situation. When asked internally, they were told, “Their contracts are a legal situation and are being handled by the lawyers.” On the contrary, WWE removed Sasha Banks and Naomi’s merchandise from the WWE store.

Currently, both superstars haven’t reacted to the recent walkout on WWE Raw. WWE fans saw Sasha Banks in different locations for parties and Naomi has removed WWE’s mention from her Twitter profile.
WWE News and Rumors: WWE Women’s Tag Team Tournament Plans are not dead
After Sasha Banks and Naomi’s walkout, WWE announced a future Women’s Tag team tournament. However, WWE didn’t take any move on the tag team tournament. Later, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer reported that the tag team tournament is almost dead.
Recently, Ringside News gave an update on WWE’s plan for the Women’s Tag Team Tournament. When asked to one of the tenured members of WWE’s creative team, they responded WWE’s plan for the tag team tournament is still on and it is not discussed with Meltzer.
