According to PWInsider, WWE has scheduled both superstars for the latest episode of SmackDown in Columbus, Ohio. Although the former WWE Champions are scheduled for the SmackDown tapping, they might be present for the dark matches. Last week, WWE brought Cody Rhodes for the SmackDown event.
Currently, The Miz and AJ Styles are aligned in different storylines on Monday Night Raw. The Miz is engaged with a storyline aiding the United States Champion Theory against his rivalry with Mustafa Ali. On the other side, AJ Styles is engaged in a rivalry with Judgement Day and its leader Edge. Both men will soon face other at Hell in the Cell alongside their allies.

Currently, Friday Night SmackDown is facing low key demo rating for the show with the absence of its big stars and the Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns. It might be one of the reasons WWE is bringing superstars from the red brand to hype the show.

WWE SmackDown: SmackDown Ratings Fall Down on Last week’s Friday Night SmackDown
According to Spoiler TV, Friday Night SmackDown drew an average viewership of 1.778 million viewers. At the start of the show, the show drew a viewership of 1.841 million viewers, but it saw a downfall in the second hour of the show with a viewership count of just 1.714. Despite superstars like Ronda Rousey and Drew McIntyre, the show averaged a key demo rating of 0.4 between 18-49.
Last week, Ronda Rousey competed in a tag team match against Natalya and Shayna Baszler. Also, the former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre returned after his UK tour. Although WWE brought several exciting matches and a kickoff of the new tag team rivalry, SmackDown failed to grab the audience till the end.
