The second major tournament of VALORANT Champions Tour is around the corner. VCT Masters Shanghai, will run from May 23rd to June 9th. Top 12 teams from the International Leagues will battle it out for the title. “We’re thrilled with Masters Madrid’s success and are bringing exciting changes to Shanghai,” said Leo Faria, Global Head of VALORANT Esports. Higher-seeded teams will now choose their opponents after the Swiss stage, raising the stakes.

Masters Madrid Viewership Soars
Masters Madrid saw a peak viewership of 3.1 million, a 48% jump over Masters Tokyo. Its Average Minute Audience (AMA) was 1.1 million, a 97% increase over the previous record. The Americas League’s Sentinels were crowned champions after defeating Gen.G from VCT PACIFIC.
