With everything on the line, India beat Hong Kong with an outstanding score of 2-0 in the Lower Final match of the Esports Nations Cup 2026: Asia Qualifier. The impressive Best-of-3 clean-up was done on Sunday, June 28, thus making Team India the runner-up in Asia. With the Japanese team, Team India is set to take part in the ENC in Riyadh.
India Defeated Hong Kong to Secure ENC 2026 Ticket to Riyadh
Qualification for India was not an easy feat, to say the least. In the earlier match, India was pitted against Mongolia in the Lower Round 5 played on June 28.
India came out on top in the nail-biting encounter with a scoreline of 13-10, thus ousting Mongolia from the tournament. Following the victory, they were automatically qualified for the Lower Final against Hong Kong.
In the crucial series against Hong Kong, India proved to be a skilled team. India defeated Hong Kong 13-10 on the map of Breeze and 13-6 on the map of Haven. The leader of the server of India was Venka, who killed 42 players with a +13 kill/death balance and a rating of 1.25.
Lightningfast performed outstandingly in the game and ended up with a 1.34 rating and 35 kills. Nevertheless, Hong Kong was not weak as well because SiuFatBB, who was playing on Hong Kong’s server showed a very strong performance with 39 kills and a high rating of 1.48.

As the qualifiers round for the region is over, India can now focus on the main competition at the Esports Nations Cup 2026 VALORANT competition. Organized by the Esports World Cup Foundation and hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the competition is scheduled to take place between November 8 and November 15.
This esteemed international competition will have 32 nations competing against each other for supremacy around the globe and part of the massive prize money of $1.5 million USD.
