The gaming industry in India is getting some major support. On March 26, 2026, Krafton India officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). This is to further improve the digital entertainment and interactive media landscape in India.
Krafton India MoU with DPIIT to Focus on Gaming and Tech
Under this new agreement, Krafton India and DPIIT will work together on several different areas. These areas include digital entertainment, online social gaming, esports, interactive media, and artificial intelligence. The MoU was officially signed in New Delhi by Vibhor Kukreti from Krafton and T. L. K. Singh from DPIIT.
One of the main goals of this partnership is to help new companies grow and succeed. The two groups will explore opportunities to organize innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge. They will also host targeted hackathons to solve specific industry problems.
To help people acquire new skills, Krafton and DPIIT will conduct special workshops, roundtables, and masterclasses. The classes will cover crucial topics such as game design, animation, esports management, and AI.

This MoU will aim at building a Safe Digital Economy
