KRAFTON has officially shared new details regarding the console version of its life simulation game, inZOI. The developer announced that the title will launch on PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2027. The studio explained why this version requires extra time. It also detailed how the PS5 edition will differ from the PC version.
inZOI PS5 Release Window
The PC version launched via Early Access to gather direct player feedback. This method allowed the community to help shape the game.
However, the team realized that console players expect a highly polished experience at launch. They prefer to avoid major performance bugs or unfinished gameplay systems. Therefore, the studio rejected an Early Access model for the PS5. The developers do not want to release a basic PC port. Instead, they are completely redesigning the game for consoles.

PS5 Edition Information
The PS5 edition will feature custom DualSense controller settings. It will also include UI adjustments specifically made for large television screens. Menus and screen transitions are being reworked to improve readability from a distance.
The studio must also optimize performance for fixed console hardware. This ensures large open cities run smoothly on the PlayStation 5.
Due to these development challenges, a large public console beta is unlikely. However, the team still wants player input. They plan to share dedicated gameplay showcase videos. These clips will feature controller mechanics and TV layout improvements. Players can then provide vital feedback using platforms like Discord.
The ultimate goal is to deliver a complete base game. It should feel deeply satisfying without relying on immediate patches. The developers view this PlayStation project as highly ambitious. They want to hear what fans desire most from this simulation experience. The team will continue tracking player opinions throughout the development process.
The wait for the PS5 release might feel long. However, KRAFTON is clearly prioritizing high quality over a rushed launch. The upcoming gameplay videos will soon offer fans a closer look at this progress.
