Metasports Interactive has rolled out a major update for Hitwicket, bringing a brand-new playable character and significant improvements to the game’s social features. The latest patch introduces Champion, a specialist fast bowler designed for death-over domination, while also completely refreshing the Global Chat experience for the game’s growing worldwide community.
It should be mentioned that since its release in 2020, Hitwicket has become one of the leading games for cricket fans, gathering over 18 million users from 109 countries.
Hitwicket Introduces New Character Champion
Champion is a key addition to this update because he is a pace bowler from the Caribbean region who has been designed to perform optimally in the last few overs of the game. He can be acquired by purchasing an Exclusive Player Box.
Ability-wise, he has been made such that his strength lies in taking out wickets while ensuring that not many boundaries are scored.
Champion’s Abilities and Traits
Firstblood (Special Ability)
- Any shot attempted with less than 70% probability immediately results in a wicket.
Death Specialist (Trait)
- Gains 4,200 power when bowling during the final two overs.
Redshift (Trait)
- Replaces one green ball with a red ball during the last two overs.
- Has a 50% chance to convert two green balls into red balls.
Death Grip (Trait)
- When facing a red ball, the probability of hitting a four or six is capped at 39%.

Global Chat Gets a Major Upgrade
In addition to the new character, Metasports Interactive has launched a complete revamp of the Hitwicket Global Chat system. The update is centered on ensuring that the game’s users are able to network and form teams without leaving the chat window.
