A brand new era of digital racing is nearly here. Codemasters and EA Sports have shared exciting details about their next major update. The EA Sports F1 25: 2026 Season Pack officially launches on June 3, 2026.
This major expansion introduces the highly anticipated 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship directly into the game. Best of all, PlayStation 5 Pro players are getting a massive visual treat. The update arrives with enhanced PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) to take graphics to the next level.
EA Sports F1 25: Next-Gen Power via Enhanced PSSR
Upgrading the game for the PS5 Pro was an easy choice for the development team. Codemasters worked closely with Sony to implement the latest version of PSSR.
On the PS5 Pro, the game features a dedicated Quality Mode. This mode delivers locked 60 frames per second (fps) gameplay. It combines ray-traced reflections, dynamic diffuse global illumination, and ray-traced global illumination. Thanks to PSSR, players will notice a much sharper and cleaner image on their screens.
Multiple Performance Options for Every Racer
The PS5 Pro version is not just about raw resolution. It gives players flexible options to match their home gaming setups.
- Quality Mode: Offers the highest visual fidelity using PSSR and full ray tracing at 60fps.
- Performance Mode: Delivers ultra-smooth 120Hz gameplay for compatible, high-refresh-rate monitors and TVs.
- 8K Resolution Mode: Provides a spectacular, hyper-detailed output for gamers with premium 8K televisions.

Step Into the 2026 Season
The update brings sweeping changes to the actual racing experience. It accurately replicates the real-world 2026 F1 regulations and driver shake-ups.
Players can race with brand-new teams like Audi and Cadillac. The gameplay itself introduces tactical mechanics like active aerodynamics and a dedicated Overtake mode. Furthermore, the expansion introduces “Madring.” This is a brand-new, high-speed street circuit built from the ground up to showcase the PS5 Pro’s intense ray-tracing capabilities.
How to Play the New Content
Current owners of the base game can grab the 2026 Season Pack DLC directly when it drops.
If you do not own the game yet, EA is launching the F1 25: 2026 Season Edition. This complete bundle includes the base game, the new 2026 content, a revamped My Team mode, and the third chapter of the popular Braking Point story mode. Both options will be available worldwide on June 3, 2026.
