The competitive gaming scene in India is experiencing phenomenal growth, and state-backed initiatives are taking center stage. The Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) and the state government have officially announced the highly anticipated 3rd Edition of the Bihar State Open Esports Championship 2026.

This tournament serves as the ultimate battleground for local talent to shine. With a massive total prize pool of ₹5,75,000 on the line, the stakes have never been higher for the region’s top digital athletes.

For the tournament to appeal to multiple types of gaming communities, there are five games involved in the tournament, ranging from mobile devices, PC, and consoles. The age limit has been fixed in order to provide for a fair competition among the contestants:

  • Above 16 years: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Street Fighter 6
  • Above 12 years: EA FC 26, eFootball Mobile, and Chess.com

Tournament Timeline and LAN Venue

The journey to the champion’s cup will take place in three intense rounds. Players are advised to keep track of the following schedule for the tournament:

  • Registration: Registrations for the tournament are accepted from April 19 until May 2, 2026.
  • Online Qualification Rounds: The tough elimination rounds will begin online as of May 4.
  • LAN Grand Finale: The top players and teams will make their way into the exciting LAN Grand Finale that will take place on May 16, 2026. The exciting finale will take place at the famous Indoor Stadium, Patliputra Sports Complex.

Eligibility Requirements and How to Register

It’s only reserved for individuals who hail from the state of Bihar. The participating players will be required to submit government-issued IDs with proper proof of their addresses before registering for the tournament.
