The Indian gaming and esports community is closely monitoring a developing legal matter involving prominent creator Kaashvi Hiranandani, known online as Kaash Plays, and her former talent management agency. In a detailed video public presentation titled “How I Got Scammed by 8bit Thug”, Kaashvi brought forward serious accusations against her former manager and S8UL co-founder, Animesh Agarwal (8Bit Thug), along with 8Bit Creatives.
Kaashvi Hiranandani’s Allegations Video
According to Kaashvi, there were major discrepancies in how her brand deal earnings were handled. She alleged that the management team routinely underreported the actual financial values of brand contracts, computed her payout based on those lower figures, and kept the remaining balance.
Furthermore, she asserted that a specific payout sent accidentally by a brand to the agency after the termination of their association was not returned despite multiple inquiries. Following these events, Kaashvi confirmed that she has taken the matter to the authorities, registering a First Information Report (FIR) at the Santacruz Police Station in Mumbai.
Animesh Agarwal (8Bit Thug) Refutes the Accusations
Following the public release of the video and the announcement of the FIR, Animesh Agarwal issued a formal counter-statement on social media. Denying the claims made against him and the organization, Agarwal labeled the allegations as “false and misleading.” He emphasized his intent to address the dispute through formal legal mechanisms rather than engaging in a public argument over the facts.

Official Statement from Animesh Agarwal on Kaashvi’s Allegations
The full statement published by Animesh Agarwal reads as follows:
“Over the years, I have built 8bit, S8UL and my professional journey on the values of integrity, transparency, and hard work. The trust that our community, partners, and the industry have placed in me and in S8UL means everything to us, and it has been earned through years of honest and ethical conduct. I am deeply disheartened by the false and misleading statements being circulated in a recent video. The allegations and insinuations made therein are entirely inconsistent with the values that I have upheld throughout my personal and professional life.
I also firmly believe that matters of this nature, particularly when they are subject to legal scrutiny, ought to be addressed through the appropriate legal and judicial processes rather than through public discourse. Unlike those who may choose to place their version of events before the court of public opinion, I do not believe it is appropriate or ethical to litigate facts in a public forum. Doing so can cause irreparable harm to the reputation and dignity of all those involved and risks undermining the fairness of the process itself.
For this reason, I will refrain from commenting on the factual aspects of the matter in the public domain. My silence should not be mistaken for an absence of truth, but rather as a conscious choice to uphold the principles of fairness, responsibility, and due process. I have complete faith in our judicial system and the rule of law. Accordingly, neither I nor S8UL will engage in public commentary beyond what is necessary. We will allow the competent legal authorities to examine the matter independently and take its due course in accordance with the law.
I respectfully request everyone to refrain from drawing conclusions based on incomplete or one-sided narratives and to allow the legal process to unfold fairly and impartially. Thank you to everyone who has continued to place their trust in me and in S8UL. We remain committed to the principles that have guided us from day one – integrity, transparency, and accountability. Animesh Agarwal, Founder, 8bit & S8UL”
KAASHVI vs 8BIT THUG: Matter Awaits Official Investigation Findings
As both parties have publicly expressed their intent to rely entirely on the legal process, the matter remains strictly under the jurisdiction of the law. The registration of an FIR marks the commencement of an official police inquiry into the allegations, and no legal conclusions or judgments of liability have been established. The broader community continues to await the conclusions of the official investigation by the competent legal authorities.
