City manager Pep Guardiola is currently in need of a left-back following Joao Cancelo’s loan move to Bayern Munich with an option to buy in January. Guardiola had previously monitored Chilwell in 2020 before he signed for Chelsea in a £50 million deal from Leicester.

Chelsea Transfer News: What other players could follow Ben Chilwell?
Mason Mount’s future at Chelsea is uncertain as he is yet to agree to a new contract, and his current deal expires next year. Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing the England international.
Similarly, there are doubts over Mateo Kovacic’s future, while Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have fallen out of favour.

At the age of 33, Cesar Azpilicueta is approaching the latter stages of his career, and he almost left for Barcelona last summer. Conor Gallagher and Hakim Ziyech were both close to leaving in January, and Armando Broja had been struggling for opportunities before getting injured.

While Kai Havertz has been a key player for Chelsea, his record of six goals in 25 Premier League appearances this season has frustrated fans. Raheem Sterling has also struggled since joining last summer, although his agent has expressed his desire to stay.
