However, Manchester United has tough competition from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham, who are also eyeing to scoop in Portuguese this summer. The other obstacle that the Erik ten Hag side will have is Palhinha’s current value which is much higher than Fulham paid for him last year.

However, Palhinha’s technical and defensive skills might tempt Ten Hag to pay the big bucks for the Portuguese international. Earlier, the Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias reported that Palhinha was on the radar for the Red Devils last year, and the club was lining up a move for him, however, they decided not to pursue the 27-year-old and the latter picked Fulham to make his Premier League debut.
Meanwhile, Fulham is expected to keep a high price tag for the midfielder following his impressive season. The club might also consider extending Palhinha’s contract for an additional 12 months.
