Controversies don’t seem to subside following the recent Twitch drama centered around the offensive slur “Cracker”. There has been a rift in opinions from the very start. This has led to the recent battle where HasanAbi blew up at popular streamer KEEMSTAR after the latter accused him of being racist and hateful over his take on “Cracker”. HasanAbi was banned for over a week from Twitch for using the slur “Cracker”, which supposedly violated the guidelines of the platform. After a week-long of heated debates and Abi himself standing up against it, his suspension was finally lifted.

HasanAbi still believes that the “C-word” isn’t racist and believes in curbing the acts of viewers who actually spam chat with racist and hateful comments, thus urging creators and to take necessary steps.

However, for many other streamers their opinions and thoughts on this matter don’t align with that of HasanAbi’s, KEEMSTAR being one among them. He recently posted a video talking about the same on twitter. In the video clip, he beseeched his fans and the community as a whole to not be influenced by streamers like HasanAbi who support racist causes like that of using words like “Cracker”. He said,”I understand there’s some campaign out there that you know, it’s okay to be racist against white people. Don’t listen to them. Do not listen to them at all. These people are acting in bad faith.”
HasanAbi did lose his cool and lashed out on KEEMSTAR. Abi called him out for dating people from out of his age group. He was targeted so specifically after the recent revelation of the latter dating two 20 years olds, as KEEMSTAR was about to turn 40. There have been a lot of different arguments regarding the announcement, HasanAbi also seems to not like it.
It is interesting to see how things are turning out one after the other after the whole “Cracker” issue. Let’s see if Hasan is dragged into any more debates or troubles because of the same.
