Popular Twitch streamer HasanAbi finally heaved a sigh of relief after Twitch unbanned him after more than a week-long suspension over the controversial use of the offensive slur “Cracker”. HasanAbi, Twitter, Twitch, Twitch Ban, Cracker, Twitch Unban, React
This all started when HasanAbi had repeatedly used the word “Cracker” during his livestreams, on December 13. Following his actions, he right away faced a ban from Twitch. He himself took to Twitter to hit out at the stringent step taken by Twitch. He was very vocal right from the beginning regarding his ban and that Twitch didn’t give him any explanation behind the ban.
Since then Twitch’s decision was much debated and many streamers took a stand in support of Hasan. Creators like Nmplol criticized Twitch and claimed that “Cracker” wasn’t a slur.
Furthermore, some fans and content creators even ridiculed the creators and his bans, including Jschlatt himself. Hasan, unable to stream on his channel, took to YouTube with other content creators for fun and exciting streams. Recently, Hasan along with Ethan Klein was joined by Twitch sensation Amouranth in YouTube’s Leftovers to shoot a parody video mocking the ban.

However, it felt like the ban would take an eternity to get lifted despite the controversies it had raised. Namplol’s mod Oro was unbanned regarding the same issue while there was no good news for Hasan.
Finally, after one week, three minutes and 49 seconds the platform uplifted Hasanabi’s suspension. Fans took this opportunity to shower the comment section of Reddit posts detailing his return, with their opinions, hilarious jokes and memes.
Some even pulled a two year back thread on Twitter, referring to how he was banned from Twitch and was unbanned at exactly 8:21 PM.
The HasanAbi controversy was nonetheless engaging as there was so much happening that it was getting difficult to keep track of it all. HasaAbi himself and fans must be very happy to get united back on Twitch.
