HasanAbi was himself banned for over a week, from Twitch for using the controversial slur “Cracker”, which supposedly violated the guidelines of the platform. After a week long of heated debates and Abi himself standing up against it, his suspension was finally lifted.
In one of his recent livestreams on Twitch, he was casually chatting with his viewers where he brought to light the fact that many creators and moderators are being banned for using certain racial slurs. Most of his recent streams were talks centered around his ban and whether or not “Cracker” should result in getting a ban. He still doesn’t consider that he had actually violated any regulations of the platform, though he now refers to the word as the “C-word”. As believed by him, “Cracker” isn’t a slur or racist remark.
HasanAbi, however, accepted that some terms or words are in fact offensive which should be avoided at all cost. One such word is the “R-word”, a slur, and he respected creators for not using it anymore. Here’s what he said, “Some of you content creators on the platform have stopped saying the R-word. I respect that. That’s great. You recognize how your actions come across. Recognize the responsibility that you have and that’s great.”
He further elaborated that if “C-word” is a slur, then what would people say when chat is spammed with the word “trihard”, which is targeted at black people. He said, “Are you going to stop spamming ‘trihard’? Cause if you recognize that you know the C-word is creating an unsafe space for white people, how do you think people feel? How do you think black people feel when you f***ing spam trihard every time you see a black person on screen?”

This primarily shows HasanAbi is stirred up after his controversy and does really want to bring to the surface the issues which harm the community at large. However, some fans want to be done with having enough from this controversy. Now they are in a mood to enjoy some cool content from their favourite streamers.
