WTC Final 2023: Ravichandran Ashwin – India Cricket Team and fans can heave a sigh of relief as off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s back is fine, ahead of World Test Championship (WTC) Final. IPL 2023: Massive boost for India Ashwin fit for WTC, ousted players from IPL set to depart on May 23 to London

Ashwin’s fitness comes as a massive boost for India. The all-rounder is expected to play a crucial role at the Oval, the venue for the WTC final. The pitch here generally aids spinners, and India would be hoping to use it to their advantage. Meanwhile, head coach Rahul Dravid and the rest of the support staff will leave for England on May 23.

Ousted IPL 2023 players will also depart with Dravid & Co to London. The rest of the Indian players will join the team by June 1. India are due to play multi-day practice games against County XI, while Australia have opted out of the practice games ahead of the WTC final on June 7 to 11.
