Will RCB finally win IPL? Super Computer and fans divided over Virat Kohli and co ending trophy drought

InsideSport asked a Super Computer and held a fan poll on who would win IPL 2024 and the results were completely different

Royal Challengers Bengaluru staged an epic comeback in the latter half of IPL 2024 to seal their spot in the playoffs in the very last minute. RCB will now take on RR in the Eliminator on Wednesday. A win against the Royals will get Faf du Plessis and co. one step closer to winning their maiden trophy.

InsideSport asked a Super Computer and held a fan poll on who would win IPL 2024 and the results were completely different. While our BETSiE Super Computer ranked RCB as the team with the least chances of winning the trophy, fans unanimously voted for the side to emerge as the winners this year.

Super Computer vs fans over RCB’s maiden title win

As per our  BETSiE Super Computer, KKR stand 38.10% chances to win their third IPL trophy. RCB are predicted to have the least chances of winning their maiden trophy, with just 12.40% chance to win the league.

Super Computer predicts IPL 2024 winner

In a poll on Twitter, 57% voted for RCB to win IPL 2024 while 17% think that SRH will win the title. Similarly, in a poll on Instagram, 63% of the fans voted for RCB to win the cup while rest of the teams received below 20%. A poll on WhatsApp also saw a similar result, with fans rooting for Virat Kohli and co. to end their trophy drought.

RCB’s comeback after setback

Back in the end of April, it looked like RCB had no chance to make it to the top four, forget winning IPL 2024. However, Faf du Plessis and co staged a remarkable comeback by winning six games on the trot to storm into the IPL Playoffs.

Bengaluru defeated CSK by 27 runs in a nail-biter at M Chinnaswamy stadium to seal their spot in the playoffs.
