Opting to bat first, SRH got off to a horrific start that saw a top-order collapse in the most crucial game. Chepauk did not get to witness the magic from the duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head as pacers Starc and Rana struck.

KKR continued to maintain pressure on SRH, not allowing them to play freely. The bowlers struck at regular intervals and managed to bowl out SRH by 113 runs. KKR now need 114 runs to lift their third IPL title.
