T20 World Cup dream far-fetched, Ashutosh Sharma, Shashank Singh make solid statement against SRH

PBKS batters Ashutosh Sharma and Shashank Singh stitched together a 66-run partnership of 27 deliveries as they nearly pulled it off for the team

PBKS batters Ashutosh Sharma and Shashank Singh nearly did the impossible as SRH managed to scrape a two-run victory. The duo gave it their all to chase down the 184-run total but missed out on it narrowly as Jaidev Unadkat held his nerves to see his team across the line. Sharma and Shashank’s innings may very well put them in contention for a spot in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.

Ashutosh Sharma nearly does it for PBKS

Ashutosh played a quickfire 33-run knock off just 15 deliveries, smashing two sixes and three fours. He played a fiery knock, striking at 220.00. Shashank Singh, on the other hand, remained unbeaten on 46, striking six fours and one six in his knock. PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan heaped praise on the duo for playing consistently and credited them for nerly finishing the game for the side.
