Rinku Singh is eyeing a spot in the India Cricket Team for the ICC T20 World Cup. Ahead of the Team India selection, Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan has wished the best for his ace player. The King of Bollywood has claimed that he dearly wishes for Rinku Singh to make it to the T20 World Cup squad.
“Such amazing players are playing for the country. I am really looking forward to Rinku, Inshallah being in the World Cup Squad and some other youngsters from other teams also,” Shah Rukh Khan told Star Sports.
SRK roots for Rinku Singh
Rinku Singh came under the spotlight after helping his side win the game from the jaws of defeat in IPL 2023. He went on to smash Yash Dayal for 5 consecutive sixes. Rinku Singh eventually got his India team callup after managing to score 474 runs in the previous edition of the IPL.
“Some of them deserve it so much, but my personal wish is that Rinku makes it to the team. I will be so happy. That will be the high point for me,” Shah Rukh concluded.
Since his India team debut, Rinku Singh has been the designated finisher for the Men in Blue. The destructive southpaw is keen to get his chance for the mega ICC event. Ajit Agarkar is set to meet the BCCI Selection committee on 30th April. And thus it can be assumed that the India squad will be announced on 1st May.
