Gujarat Titans batter David Miller will be sidelined for the next fortnight in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 season due to a minor injury. The South African middle-order batsman was absent from Gujarat Titans’ recent fixture against Punjab at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday, April 4.

In Miller’s absence, Kane Williamson stepped in and contributed 26 runs from 22 deliveries in the match, as he disclosed the news to fans during the mid-innings show with the broadcaster.

During the mid-innings show, Williamson expressed his disappointment at losing Miller for a week or two, emphasizing the importance of having him in the lineup.

“Nice to be out there after long. Shame to lose Davey (Miller) for a week or two,” Williamson told broadcasters while breaking down his team’s batting performance against Punjab.

David Miller has been a vital asset to the franchise since joining in 2022, delivering impactful performances. His absence will be felt, especially after his impressive display of 44 runs from 27 balls against SRH and a brisk 21 from 16 balls against CSK in recent matches.

The exact nature of Miller’s injury remains undisclosed, awaiting official confirmation. So far this season, Miller has amassed 77 runs in three innings for the Titans.
