End of 14 months ordeal, NCA declares Rishabh Pant fit for IPL 2024

Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant is all set to make a comeback in IPL 2024. The keeper-batter has obtained a fitness certificate from the National Cricket Academy (NCA). Pant has been on the sidelines following a horrific car crash in December 2022.

After undergoing an extensive 14-month rehab and recovery process, following a life-threatening road mishap on December 30th, 2022, near Roorkee, Uttarakhand, Rishabh Pant has now been declared fit as a wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming TATA IPL 2024,” BCCI says in a statement.

Rishabh Pant’s road to recovery and IPL 2024 comeback

Delhi Capitals made it clear that Pant will remain as the captain of the team. Earlier, it was reported that Pant will feature as an impact player. There is no chance that he will keep wickets for the Delhi outfits. Ganguly too clarified that Pant won’t stand behind the wickets. Delhi Capitals take on Punjab Kings in their opening game of the campaign on March 23.
